Autonomous skid steer loader

Unicontrol ApS has partnered with us to develop an autonomous solution for skid steered loaders. 

The goal is to provide a solution for the construction industry, enabling contractors to have skid steered loaders perform a variety of standard tasks autonomously. 

In the initial stage our consultants have developed a simulator that will be used for testing functionality, ensuring safe driving and correct movement of arm and bucket.

Moreover the simulator will be used for continuous integration testing during development, ensuring that code functionality is tested and validated according to the latest safety standards for autonomous machines.

The focus of the project phase was to establish the final architecture wrt. hardware and software, and have our consultants support pur customer with valuable know how.

Wearable tech algorithm development

For our client in the wearable tech industry, our consultants supported the development of sports analytics and visualization.

The goal has been to give users meaningful metrics of their day-to-day activities, based on a variety of sensors located in an activity tracker that is wrist-worn and connected to the user's smart-phone.

Based on IMU sensors in the tracker, our consultants have successfully developed an algorithm that detects the high level activity state by combining FFT with windowed variance and data smoothing concepts.

In the next project phase, our proof-of-concept implementation in python will be converted to Node.js and implemented in our client’s mobile app stack for future release.

Gym utilization tracker

Konekt ApS is working with us to develop a vision based solution to evaluate utilization of city owned gyms.

The aim of this solution is to give local authorities a tool that can track and report the number of active players on their gym courts with a fixed time interval, to ensure optimal use of the city’s gym facilities.  

The solution combines a camera with an IoT edge, running computer vision and AI algorithms to detect and count active players on the court, before reporting the result to cloud analytics.

Currently a proof-of-concept is being tested. Next stage is to mature the technology and get it ready for an initial low volume production to end customers.

Graffiti detection on trains

We are working on a proposal with a European train operator to detect and report graffiti on their trains. 

The aim of this solution is to provide a system that quickly identifies graffiti on the train carriers, prepares and sends a report to local police authorities and schedules cleaning with minimal human interaction.

In the current pre-project phase we are developing a robust graffiti detection algorithm, combining AI concepts to classify train type and normal color, while using a windowed outlier detection approach to detect graffiti.

We are currently outlining the architecture and user requirements of the solution while looking at suppliers before proceeding with the development.
